Every choice has a shadow.

In this dark psychological thriller, a desperate mother faces an impossible choice when a mysterious benefactor offers to save her dying son. Eleanor Wright's mounting medical bills and final notices fade into insignificance when a silver-haired woman named Margot appears at her door with a contract written in shadows - and a connection to Eleanor's long-missing mother.

But as Detective Alan Blackwood warns, Margot's help comes with a terrifying price. Three families have already disappeared after making similar deals, and the shadows that lurk between worlds are hungry for more. With her son's life hanging in the balance, Eleanor must decide: Will she follow her mother's footsteps into darkness, or become another victim of the ancient beings who feed on desperate souls?
